Did you know that Manhattan Welding is also a steel fabrication company and a metal fabrication company? We have the experience and expertise to fabricate nearly any item you need in almost any metal you require. Our well-equipped 20,000-square foot steel fabrication shop houses a range of commercial equipment, which allows us to make or do just about anything involving steel and metal fabrication. We use, among others, the following equipment:
- Steel-cutting sheers, band saws and plasma cutters, which can effortlessly cut through steel
- Press breaks to bend steel
- Rollers to roll steel cylinders
- A bridgeport for machine and tool dyeing and radial drilling
Custom builders — Not a mass-produced assembly line
Our job shop is here to support our field operations as needed. And when the job calls for it, we’ll custom create a product tailored to your specifications. We do one of something — we don’t make a thousand. For example, if we’re renovating a boiler room and we install a new boiler, we want to have some type of platform to mount a pump. We can fabricate the platform right here in our shop. If we want to make a conduit for the exhaust to leave the boiler room, we can roll the steel and construct a breeching and smokestack.
If you have a piece of older equipment that’s running and functional, but parts just don’t exist, they can be fabricated in our shop to bring the system back up to efficiency. Many boilers are made out of steel, which can rust and require a replacement over time. At Manhattan Welding, we can cut and form specifically-fitted plates to match the worn-out plates in a steel boiler, or cut out a depreciated
section of a boiler and then weld in a new piece of steel. We can also build around pre-manufactured parts, to make them fit and work better in a particular environment.
